Homecoming

High school wasn’t exactly fun for me. I don’t know why I didn’t enjoy it much, probably because I was always so shy and felt like everyone was judgmental at my school. Granted, my class was a pretty tight-knit group but I still didn’t like to communicate with many people. There was one part in high school that I looked forward to every year! Hands down the best part about high school, in m opinion. Homecoming week!

My homecoming week consists of dressing up every day of the week, and finishing off the last day with a pep rally! We would have days like old people’s day, superhero day, spirit day, clash day, celebrity day, twin day, and even nerd day! Who doesn’t want to dress up like a nerd? That was my favorite day.  It was a chance where you could look like a complete idiot and no one cared.

Clash day! This picture crowded up the whole hallway, but well worth it!

This picture was taken out by our soccer fields where we held our “Class Clash.” Class Clash is where all the classes  play against each other in different events. The events were epic and hilarious. We had men’s volleyball, pizza eating contest, jello slide, egg toss, girls powder puff (Which my class won freshmen year, domination), relay races, and tug of war. Everyone gets so into it too. After the Jello slide someone always throws jello and starts a jello fight. Quite hilarious in my opinion.

Some people got into spirit day... Everyone wanted a picture with him.

Our junior year t-shirts we made, I like our senior ones better, personally.

There was never a year that went by where we didn’t puff paint shirts for Homecoming. I still have all four of mine hanging in my closet. Senior year we decided to go all out and spray paint our shirts, as you saw in a few above pictures. We spent all night on them! Here’s a picture of the front of my spray painted senior shirt!

Spirit day!! It's hard to read the front, but they looked pretty epic.

Us three took a picture all four years we attended Class Clash, and sadly this was our last one we took.

Nerd day!! The best day out of the whole week. It was so fun to dress up as a nerd and wear big glasses with tape in the middle.

After all the dressing up and playing in Class Clash, we ended the week with a pep rally. Our pep rally’s were always so loud! We would split up the classes and have a screaming contest, if you didn’t lose your voice you weren’t doing it right. We did cheers, we had speakers, we announced nominees for Homecoming Queen and King, and we would leave on a happy note. Never a dull moment!

I could post so many pictures, but I’m going to stop there. I will never forget Homecoming week though. Always a blast to hang out with friends, and dress up in the weirdest outfits. Even the teachers participated! Fun filled week of laughter and happiness!

Do you guys have a Homecoming week? Did you enjoy it as much as I did?
