Stress Stress Stress!

This week has been so stressful for me! Mind you it’s only Tuesday… First, I had a speech due for my public speaking class (which I’m taking online, HUGE mistake. I don’t recommend it) which was worth 100 points, but it wouldn’t upload to the computer. I had a huge freak out moment on the verge of tears until we finally got it uploaded. I’ve had fights with friends this week, been over bundled with homework, and to top it all off I’m trying to find a new job.

I hardly ever have stress so when it comes around I panic! In order to not have a mental breakdown or panic so much, I think of some things to calm me down.

First off: Breathe! Don’t go scrambling around freaking out about everything possible. Take a few breaths and relax for a bit.

Two: Keep in mind that you can do anything you put your mind to and that you’re here for a reason.

Three: Turn on some happy tunes! Don’t listen to that depressed sappy music, not good for when you’re stressed. I always go to 8tracks.com to get a good variety of music. You can pick the type of music you want to listen to. Like, country + summer, or workout + pop. Seriously, anything you can think of there’s a playlist for it. Go and check it out. Best thing ever, better than Pandora in my opinion.

Four: Vent to your friends! I do this a lot. After something bad happens, I of course have my panic attack but then I immediately text one of my friends telling them whats wrong and “why me?” Or something dramatic. Venting is a good way to let out some stress though, talking it out always helps. Blogging is also good for that too!

Five: Watch an episode of your favorite T.V. show. Right now I’m hooked on Rules of Engagement so when I get so overwhelmed I watch an episode to get a good laugh.

There are multiple things you can do, but these are the five things I do. You could also go for a walk or run. Pop in your headphones and let your mind wander free while taking a good jog around your neighborhood. Don’t let the stress get to you and ruin the rest of your day. Look on the bright side, it’s the little things that can brighten your whole day. So when you’re feeling stressed take a step back and breathe. Remember you’re here for a reason then turn on some happy tunes. Vent to your friends, and turn on a funny T.V. show. Relax, and enjoy every moment you can in life. Doesn’t last long.
